Common Questions

We get this question every day.  We apologize for the other bakers that say they are nut-free but still sell items with nuts and peanuts.  But to answer your question Baked Cravings is 100 % a nut-free, peanut-free and tree-nut free bakery.  Also, review our ingredients page 

Cupcakes in a jar have a shelf life of 3 days and can be frozen to extend the shelf life for up to 3 months. When frozen, please thaw for 1 hour prior to serving. Note expiration date is for freezer storage. In short once you receive your jars if not consumed please place them in the freezer until ready for consumption.

Cupcakes & Brownies have a shelf life of 2 days and can be frozen to extend the shelf life for up to 3 months. When frozen, please thaw them 2 - 3 hours prior to serving. 

Cookies have a shelf life of 2 weeks and can be frozen to extend shelf life for up to 6 months.

Yes our Chocolate Chip, Red Velvet, Oatmeal and S'mores cookies are dairy-free.

We also have Vegan friendly cupcakes currently Apple Cinnamon and Vanilla.

Yes! We are sesame free as well. 

Sales tax in not charged on food in NYC.

We currently have the ability to deliver items within NYC, Westchester County, Long Island area. We can also deliver within Northern New Jersey as well as Connecticut as far as Bridgeport.  

 

If located within the above delivery locations and you zip code is not verified at checkout please email us at sales@bakedcravings.com. Not delivery rates are based on distance from our Lexington Avenue zip code of 10029.

Shipping

Currently we ship throughout the US. We can ship our below items currently.

Bald Cupcakes, Cupcake in a cup, Cookies, Brownies, Popcorn and select merchandise.

 

 

Custom Orders

Yes! We can brand them in 2 different ways.

We can use our edible photo process by simply placing any digital photo on top of our classic cupcakes.

OR

We can apply a custom label on top of our Jars with your logo, a picture of your child or virtually anything that can be digitally printed. Please call us at 646-590-3324 or e-mail us at sales@bakedcravings.com to place your custom order.

That's great. We do have a multi-address form that can be used to import order and addresses of your recipients. 

We have found that the best use of time is to assure you have over 10 different addresses you plan to send treats to. If under ten we would suggest placing the order online individually.

  • When completed please email to Sales@BakedCravings.com
  • Please give us a delivery date range 2 to 3 days (Exclude Saturdays, Sundays & Mondays)
  • We will respond with a total amount for your order including the shipping fee, If approved please process payment and we will import your orders for delivery.
  • You will receive tracking numbers for the orders as they are shipped. For larger orders we will send a daily report.
  • If you would like to include custom labels for your event please let us know when sending the file. We would need to have your job in our production schedule at least three weeks in advance to accommodate such functions as postcard inserts or custom labeling.

Custom Order Cancellation Policy

We understand that unexpected circumstances can arise. This policy outlines the guidelines for cancelling custom orders placed through our website or manually.

Cancellations before production begins:

  • Full refund: You may receive a full refund for your custom order if you cancel before any work has begun on it. This typically means within 12 hours of placing the order.
  • Partial refund: After 12 hours, but before any significant progress has been made (e.g., sourcing ingredients, sketching designs), we may offer a partial refund depending on the time involved and resources allocated. At this stage a 80% refund is issued.

Cancellations after production begins:

  • Limited refund or store credit: Once production has started, cancellations are subject to a non-refundable deposit equal to 50% of the order total. The remaining amount may be offered as store credit for future purchases, depending on the degree of progress (e.g., baked but not decorated, assembled but not packaged).
  • No refunds: Unfortunately, we cannot offer refunds for cancellations once the order is near completion or ready for pickup/delivery. We encourage careful consideration before placing an order, as these items are personalized and cannot be readily resold.

Shipping

Please note the weight listed on the label is the average weight of the cake only. By volume, you have received 8 oz of cake. Federal (FDA) regulations require product weight on all packaged goods. Also, note we take the lowest average when listing product weight. 

When cupcakes are not consumed immediately upon arrival, We would recommend refrigerating until ready to consume.  Remove 1 hour before consumption time. 

We offer several shipping options.

Our products will arrive at your door within 1 to 4 business days. As our cupcakes contain buttercream, they cannot stay in transit longer than 4 days. 

We offer messenger delivery 30 miles from our 10029 zip code.  This covers Parts of NY, NJ and CT.

Delivery charge is based on distance from our Manhattan Bakery. 

We also offer a free in-store pickup. 

Based on distance and temperature we recommend customers to purchase the ice pack kit. It’s normal for the product and ice packs to partially or fully thaw during shipment. Upon receipt, please refrigerate or place in the freezer if not consumed upon arrival. 

If you are ordering for a time-sensitive event our bakery strongly recommends scheduling your order to arrive at least 1-2 days before you will be serving the item. Baked Cravings is not responsible for delays in transit once your package has been transferred to UPS or USPS. We ship from zip code 10029.

You will receive a tracking confirmation email (please check your spam) when you order has shipped. Please track your package for arrival. 

Packages should not be left out in extreme heat. 

If you purchased an ice pack kit, please be aware that based on weather conditions packs stay cool 1-2 days during shipping. For warmer temperatures the packs will last a shorter time period. Please be mindful when selecting shipping method.

 Items when received are still edible due to packaging which assures freshness. If not consumed upon arrival we suggest placing in the refrigerator if not being consumed within a 2 days. Cake in a cup can be placed in the freezer to extend freshness up to 45 days.
